We have some big news….we’ve been busy working on some plans for the next stage of the pub, and are excited to announce that from 1st November, upstairs will be opening as The Dining Room. It will feature a regularly changing menu, focussed on flavour driven cooking utilising the finest ingredients these lands have to offer, including meat from Swaledale butchers, and seafood from Wright Brothers. Expect 48 hour Guinness glazed beef short rib, lemon sole with tarragon sauce & dill oil, hogget chops with anchovy & mint sauce. All at an accessible price, and relaxed environment.
The Dining Room sample menu is on our website now, and reservations are open! 🥂

Roast are back this weekend after a break for summer. Featuring some of the best meat you can get from Swaledale butchers, we’ll have native breed beef top rump, porchetta (which we’ve tweaked, cooked slowly for 36 hours 🤤), lemon & thyme chicken supremes, spaghetti squash wellington, and for those not wanting a roast, we’ve got some amazing day boat Scottish plaice, and sea bass on the specials. There’s still a few tables available via bookings link

Thanks to the very autumnal switch, our roasts are back from their summer holiday and will be back on at the pub this Sunday. On the meat we’ll have over 28 day dry aged, grass fed heritage beef top rump, fennel & rosemary porchetta, and lemon & thyme slow grown chicken breast, all from the amazing @swaledalebutchers alongside a vegan squash Wellington. Book now via our website 👌

You don’t need a beer garden with bad drinks when you can sit on benches in the sun all afternoon with good drinks 🔥

Super excited to now be pouring these amazing wines from our good friend Simon at @noitawinery in Finland. An urban winery using organic grapes from Burgenland in Austrian- these are seriously good. Unfiltered, unfined, and spontaneously fermented with the grapes natural yeasts. Also some great labels by @danwilson1982

Yes, it’s true. Your favourite pub is showing the Euro’s. Screens in every room and they are WIDE. Scallop and bacon bap hotly tipped to be THE snack of the tournament. Is it frosty bois or crispy Rosès?
Screen any of the games upstairs, just ask.
